The
Woodlands Salon Series was started in 2001 as a part of the
Woodlands Symphony
Orchestra's Symphony Society for the purpose of bringing the highest possible quality chamber music to
the residents of The Woodlands and surrounding areas. Our desire is to showcase
musicians in an informal, home enviornment and couple fine music with the ability
to interact with people who enjoy classical music.
The Woodlands Salon Series has granted its 501(c)3 status by the IRS. Effective 7/30/2014, donations to the Woodlands Salon Series can be deducted as charitable contributions.
Our concerts feature groups ranging for a solo artist to a small chamber orchestra.
The talented musicians come from all over the world with a concentration of musicians
from the Houston Symphony and Rice's Shepherd School of Music.
Concerts are open to the general public. A typical event starts at 7:30
with wine, soft drinks, appetizers and desserts. The concerts start around
8:00 and typically last for a little over an hour. The concert is followed
with an informal reception. It is typical for the musicians to stay around
and enjoy the reception with the audiance.
For our normal concerts, there is a charge of $25 if paid in advance ($30 at the
door), payable to The Woodlands Salon Series to partially cover the cost of the food,
drink and music. Dress is business casual.
The cost for students and music appreciating children accompanied by their parents
is $15, $20 at the door
You can pay for your tickets by credit card on the web or by mailing a check payable to The Woodlands Salon Series.
